On 10.10.2024 the Commissioner of Police, BBSR -CTC, Sri Dev Datta Singh, in the presence of DCP Bhubaneshwar UPD, Sri Pinak Mishra launched a special motorcycle patrolling named as “SHAKTI BAHINI”. This special initiative focuses on women’s and children’s safety during the Dussehra Festival. 40 women police officers and 20 motorcycles will augment the already existing Police arrangements. This proactive measure is aimed at preventing crimes against women, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

Additionally, cyber expert Mr. Lingraj Sethi provided hands-on training on IP tracing to tackle online fraud effectively.

On 14.02.2026, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Commissionerate Police at the University Law College campus under Utkal University. A total of 61 units of valuable blood were collected due to the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and local volunteers in this camp.
