On 22.09.2025, Commissionerate Police arrested four persons in connection with Badagada PS missing-person report MMR No. 51/2025 dated 19 September. The victim, Bidyadhara Sahoo, was kidnapped for ransom and his body was recovered near the Baranga–Pitapalli roadside by Jujhagada village. Accordingly, Badagada PS Case No. 542/2025 dtd 19.09.2025 was registered.

Last 07. 04.2026, PCR-32 employees showed extraordinary readiness in the case of vanity bag loot that happened near Gohira overbridge. On 14.02.2026, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Commissionerate Police at the University Law College campus under Utkal University. A total of 61 units of valuable blood were collected due to the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and local volunteers in this camp.
