A Regional Branch of Indian Red Cross Society has been opened in Police Commissionerate, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on 05.10.2008. With this, we have become part of Global Red Cross Movement that is aimed at improving lives of the vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity.
1. Aims and Objects :
- Aid, relief and rescue during natural calamities etc.
- Guide and assist the poor, indigent, disabled and physically weak and children who are either lost or helpless on the streets or other public places.
- Assist in preventing exploitation of the poor and indigent by any organized group.
- Prevent harassment and help the children in need of care and protection.
- Prevent harassment of women in public places or otherwise.
- Arrange for sustenance and shelter for every person in custody including poor persons.
- Provide assistance particularly prompt medical aid to victims of road accidents.

ଇଣ୍ଡିଆନ୍ ରେଡ଼କ୍ରସ ସୋସାଇଟି, ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ଶାଖା, କମିଶନରେଟ୍ ପୋଲିସ୍ ଏବଂ ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠାନ “ଜୟ ଓଡ଼ିଶା” ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ରବିବାର ତା-୦୩ /୦୫ /୨୦୨୬ ରିଖ ଦିନ ପୃଥକ୍ ପୃଥକ୍ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଦୁଇଟି ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାକୃତ ରକ୍ତଦାନ ଶିବିର ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି । ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵର ସ୍ଥିତ ଆଇ.ସି.ଏମ.ଏ.ଆଇ.ଏବଂ ୟୁନିଟ-୪ ସ୍ଥିତ ରେଡ଼କ୍ରସ ଭବନରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଥିବା ରକ୍ତଦାନ ଶିବିରରେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ, ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ଏବଂ ସାଧାରଣ ଜନତା ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାକୃତ ଭାବେ ସାମିଲ୍ ହୋଇ ରକ୍ତଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି ରକ୍ତଦାନ ଶିବିରରେ ଶ୍ରୀମତୀ ସୁଲୋଚନା ଦାସ, ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵର ମେୟର, ଡଃ ସୁରେଶ ଦେବଦତ୍ତ ସିଂହ, ଭା.ପୁ.ସେ., ଭୁବନେଶ୍ଵର- କଟକ ପୋଲିସ କମିଶନର, ଶ୍ରୀ ମାନସ ରଞ୍ଜନ ଗଡନାୟକ, ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ଡିସିପି, କମିଶନରେଟ୍ ପୋଲିସ ଏବଂ ରେଡ଼କ୍ରସର ସଂସ୍ଥାପକ ନିର୍ବାହୀ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଶ୍ରୀ ଦିଲ୍ଲୀପ ଦାସ ଶର୍ମା ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଯୋଗଦେଇ ରକ୍ତଦାତାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉତ୍ସାହିତ କରିଥିଲେ।
On April 21, 2026, the Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, in partnership with the Indian Red Cross Society (Regional Branch), launched a dedicated “Jalachatra” (drinking water camp) at the Police Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar. The initiative was formally inaugurated by the Commissioner of Police, Dr. Suresh Devdatta Singh, alongside senior police officials.
ରୁଚିକା ସୋସିଆଲ ସର୍ଭିସ୍ ଅର୍ଗାନାଇଜେସନର ସିଇଓ ଶ୍ରୀଯୁକ୍ତ ବେଣୁଧର ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ କନ୍ୟାଙ୍କ ବିବାହ ଉତ୍ସବ ଅବସରରେ ତା ୧୭ ଏପ୍ରିଲ ୨୦୨୬ ରିଖରେ ଏକ ରକ୍ତଦାନ ଶିବିର ସଫଳତାର ସହ ଆୟୋଜିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ରେଡ଼କ୍ରସ୍ ଆଞ୍ଚଳିକ ଶାଖା, କମିଶନରେଟ୍ ପୋଲିସର ସହଭାଗିତାରେ ଆୟୋଜିତ ଏହି ଶିବିରରୁ ସର୍ବମୋଟ ୪୫ ୟୁନିଟ୍ ରକ୍ତ ସଂଗୃହିତ ହୋଇଛି।
On April 9th and 10th, the Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, in association with the Indian Red Cross Society (Regional Branch), celebrated ‘Odia Pakhya’ with great fervor. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. S. Dev Datta Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Shri Narasingha Bhol, IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, Shri Suresh Ch. Patra, DCP Headquarters and Shri Manas Ranjan Gadanaik, Addl. DCP. Students from various educational institutions showcased their brilliance in Drawing, Odia Song, Debate, and Quiz competitions.
On 08.04.2026, a mega blood donation camp was organized at Laxmisagar, Bhubaneswar in association with the Red Cross Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police and voluntary organizations ‘Swayam Foundation’ and ‘Swadhin Foundation’ to celebrate ‘Odia Pakhya’. Due to the participation of enthusiastic blood donors, a total of 80 units of blood were collected from this camp.
On 07.04.2026, on the occasion of ‘World Health Day- 2026’, a free liver health check-up and awareness camp was successfully organized at the Commissionerate Police Headquarters in collaboration with Indian Liver Patient Foundation, Indian Red Cross Society Regional Branch and ‘Sathi’. A total of 183 police officers and employees underwent free fibro scan, hepatitis B and C and blood sugar tests in the camp, which was organized in the presence of Police Commissioner Dr. S. Devdutta Singh, IPS and Additional Police Commissioner Shri Narasingh Bhola, IPS.
In memory of the Pulwama martyrs, a massive voluntary blood donation camp was organized at Casa Royal Resort in Trishuliya on 15.03.2026 by the joint efforts of the Commissionerate Police, Red Cross Regional Branch and various voluntary organizations. The camp, inaugurated by the Commissioner of Police Dr. Suresh Dev Dutta Singh, IPS, witnessed great enthusiasm among the youth. 627 units of blood were collected from blood donors.
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by World Skill Center, Bhubaneswar collaboration with IRCS, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack at L-1 Cafeteria, 1st floor, world skill center, Mancheswra, Bhubaneswar on 25.02.2026. 275 units of blood were collected.
A cleanliness drive was organized in front of the Lingaraj Temple after Mahashivaratri on 16.02.2026 in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Odisha State Branch and the Regional Branch of the Commissionerate Police.
On 14.02.2026, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Commissionerate Police at the University Law College campus under Utkal University. A total of 61 units of valuable blood were collected due to the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty and local volunteers in this camp. On this occasion, Commissioner of Police Dr. Suresh Dev Dutta Singh, IPS participated and encouraged the blood donors.
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Commissionerate Police on the premises of XIM University on 03.02.2026. Due to the enthusiastic participation of the students in this camp, a total of 177 units of valuable blood were collected on this occasion. Commissioner of Police Dr. Suresh Devdutta Singh, IPS, joined and encouraged the blood donors. A heartfelt thank you to all blood donner. “Blood donation, a great donation”
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on 18.01.2026 at Ganganagar Unit-6 Community Center in Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the Red Cross Branch of the Commissionerate Police and Jai Jagannath Accidental Help Unit. 30 units of blood were collected on this occasion.
On 16.01.2026, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized by the Commissionerate Police Red Cross Branch at Cuttack Chauliaganj Police Station premises. Police personnel and local people actively participated in it. On this occasion, 103 units of valuable blood were collected. A big thank you to all the blood donors.
On 08.05.2025, a free health check-up camp was organized at BJB College, Bhubaneswar for the senior citizens of Bhubaneswar in collaboration with Care Hospital and SUM Hospital on behalf of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch.
On 30.04.2025, organised a Voluntary Blood Donation camp, at 7th Bn., Bhubaneswar. A total of 66 units of blood were collected from police personnel and local citizens in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police BBSR-CTC. A unique feature of this camp was the participation of Person who were reformed from their past criminal activities and now living in the mainstream of society, who have also donated 20 units of blood.
A voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised by the Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration with Puspak Hotel and Help Mate on 18.04.2025. Twin City Police Commissioner Dr. Suresh Dev Datta Singh and other senior police officers graced the camp and encouraged the donors. A total of 110 units of blood were collected in this noble endeavour. On behalf of the Commissionerate Police, we thank all the organisers and donors.
On the occasion of Odia New Year and holy Pana Sankranti, a “JALACHATRA” camp was organized at Police Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar, with the cooperation of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, and the Regional Branch of Indian Red Cross Society. Commissioner of Police Dr. Suresh Devdatta Singh inaugurated the camp with other senior police officers on 14.04.2025.
On 30.12.2024 Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack organized a blood donation camp at Capital Police Station with the IRCS, RB, Commissionerate Police, collected 208 units of blood. Police personnel and Unit-1 market residents actively participated. CP Dr. S. Dev Dutta Singh and Addl. CP Dr. Umashankar Dash honored donors with certificates.
On 24.09.2024 205 units of blood were collected under the aegis of XIM University organised by IRCS, RB, Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack. CP Sri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS graced the camp as Chief Guest and inaugurated the camp.
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on 20.09.2024 by IRCS, RB, Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack association with Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar. DC & Joint Secretary Sri Lalitendu Mohanty, organised the camp. A total of 101 units of blood were collected by the Capital Hospital Blood Bank, Bhubaneswar.
Godrej & Boyce, in collaboration with IRCS & Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Pahala, Bhubaneswar, on 8th August 2024. Inaugurated by Shri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, Commissioner of Police, the camp collected 51 units of blood, contributing to the community’s health. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all donors and volunteers!
A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on 14.07.2024 by IRCS, RB, and Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, in association with Jai Jagannath Accidental Help Unit & Mahakali Ata. Commissioner of Police Shri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, graced the camp as Chief Guest. A total of 101 units of blood were collected by the Puri Blood Bank and Red Cross Blood Bank of Bhubaneswar. DC & Joint Secretary Sri Lalitendu Mohanty coordinated the camp.

In commemoration of World Blood Donors Day, a voluntary blood donation camp was organized on 14.06.2024 by the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) RB, in collaboration with the Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack at Baranga Police Station, Cuttack. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries including CP Sri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, who inaugurated the camp and led by example by donating blood. Joining him were DCP CTC Sri R. Prakash, IPS, and EC member Dillip Das Sharma, who also contributed to this noble cause. A total of 65 units of blood were collected during the camp.
On 08.05.2024, World Red Cross Day & World Thalassemia Day were observed by IRCS, Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack by organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Bharatpur Police Station, Bhubaneswar with floral homage to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sir. Jean Henry Dunant.

Keeping the citizens hydrated! On 02.05.2024 Commissionerate of Police joined hands with IRCS, Bhubaneswar, to set up ‘Jal Chhatra’, providing much-needed relief to citizens braving the scorching heat with buttermilk, ORS and water. Commissioner of Police, Sri Sanjeeb Panda, IPS and DCP BBSR, Sri Prateek Singh, IPS distributed Buttermilk to the citizens.

One Voluntary blood donation camp was organised by IRCS, RB,Commissionerate Police in association with Aditya Birla Fashion & retail at Mancheswar , Bhubaneswar on 20.01.2024.
“Red Cross Executive Meeting” held at the Commissionerate Police Headquarters on 14.12.2023. The Commissioner of Police, Addl CP along with the executive members Smt. Tapasi Praharaj, Sri Mahendra Singh Kalsi, Sri Krupasindhu Sahoo, Sri Hemanta Kumar Agrawal, Shri Suryamani Tripathy addressed various pertinent issues for enhancing safety and welfare initiatives.
“Promoting a Lifesaving Spirit: A Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised at TCS in association with Jai Odisha on 29.11.2023. A total of 210 units were collected by the BMC Blood Bank of Bhubaneswar and the Red Cross Blood Bank of both Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, fostering community well-being. Kudos to all donors for their selfless contribution!
“Donate Blood and be the reason for someone’s existence” A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Indian Red Cross Society-Police Commissionerate Bhubaneswar-Cuttack in association with ICICI Bank and graceful presence of 179 generous blood donors on 25.08.2023.
A blood donation camp was organised by Marwari Yuva Manch Bhubaneswar Branch in association with IRCS, Regional Branch Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack at Police Seva Bhawan on 06.06.2023.
Continuing its effort in ameliorating the blood-requirement problem in the twin city, personnel of SSBn, Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar donated 38 units of blood in the blood donation camp organised on 11.05.2023.
Keeping in view of the blood requirement in Cuttack in summer, Sri S. K. Priyadarsi, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Indoor Stadium, Cuttack on 10.05.2023. Police Personnel of DCP Cuttack donated blood. 134 units of blood were collected.
One Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised by ICICI Bank & ICICI Foundation in association with IRCS, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on 06.02.2023. The CP Sri S.K. Priyadarsi, IPS graced the camp as Chief Guest in presence of City Business Head Mr P.R. Rout, Center in Charge, ICICI Foundation S. Mohapatra & ACP & Joint Secretary Lalitendu Mohanty. Total 103 units of blood were collected by Central Red Cross blood bank, Cuttack.
One Voluntary Blood Donation camp was organised by UIS Cancer Foundation Charitable Trust at TCS, Bhubaneswar in association with IRCS, Regional Branch, Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack on 01.02.2023. Total 284 units of blood were collected.
On the eve of 15th Raising Day of Commissionerate Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised by Special Security Bn., Bhubaneswar at Commissionerate Police Hdqrs., on 05.01.2023. On the eve of 15th Raising Day of Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack, one Blood Donation camp was organised by Commissionerate Police at OSAP 7th Bn, Bhubaneswar on 04.01.2023. CP Sri S.K.
